BPM Finder — Find Song Tempo
Find the tempo of your audio with OFFON AI. Once vocal and instrumental separation finishes, the editor automatically analyzes the audio and displays an estimated BPM.
How to find a song's BPM
- Choose Select file on the home screen or drag and drop your audio. MP3, WAV, M4A and FLAC are supported, up to 50 MB and 10 minutes per file.
- Wait for vocal and instrumental separation. Check BPM above the tracks: the estimated value appears with an ≈ symbol when analysis finishes.
- To change the tempo, open Speed and set a speed ratio or target BPM. See tempo adjustment for details.
What does BPM mean?
BPM stands for beats per minute. A song at 120 BPM has 120 beats in one minute. Knowing the tempo can help you choose a practice speed or compare songs.
BPM detection and tempo adjustment
A BPM finder estimates the tempo of your audio; tempo adjustment changes playback and download speed. For example, playing a 120 BPM song at 0.75× gives a target tempo of 90 BPM. Changing speed also changes playback duration.
After removing vocals, slow down the instrumental for practice or change its key to suit your vocal range.
How accurate is automatic BPM detection?
The displayed BPM is an estimate. Audio with a weak beat or changing tempo may produce a different reading or no result. A beat may also be interpreted at half or double the tempo, so check against the rhythm you hear.
Is the BPM finder free?
BPM detection is included in the free allowance. It currently runs in the editor after audio separation, so it uses the separation allowance rather than a separate BPM-only upload. Free separation allows 2 songs and 10 minutes total per day. Checking BPM, editing and downloading completed tracks doesn't use additional allowance.
